Directions to the CBKA Honey Show

Our Honey Show is held in a marquee at the Fenland Country Fair, at Stow-cum-Quy. From Cambridge, take the A1303 to its junction with the A14, cross the A14, and take the B1102 to Stow-cum-Quy.

In 2017 we had 217 entries from 30 exhibitors. Compared to 2016 we were down on wax entries, and there was less honey; many people commented that they’d simply harvested less than in previous years. We had different judges this year, too; Sue Carter and Bill Fisher were conducting an assessed judging under the expert eye of Bernard Diaper, Senior National Honey Show Judge. Download the Honey Show results 2017.

We had an astonishing 324 entries from 46 people – a record for as long as we can remember – and the trophies for various classes have been won by several different people. The judges commented that they were impressed that the standard of entries was higher than in previous years, too, resulting in more competition for prizes. View the full list of results…
