Directions to the Perne Road Venue

The Scout Headquarters, Perne Road, Cambridge, CB1 3NT

Approaching from the south
Leave the M11 at junction 9, taking the A11 northwards. After approximately 3 miles (where traffic from the A505 enters), take the exit, turning left onto the A1307 at the top of the ramp. After approximately 3 miles, turn right at the (third) roundabout, at Addenbrooke's Hospital, and continue past three further roundabouts. The Scout Headquarters (which is labelled as such on its gable end), with a small car park behind the wall and in front of the building, is approximately 80 meters before the traffic lights at the junction with Mill Road. (Approximately 1/4 of a mile further on, there is another roundabout, beside Sainsbury's.)

Approaching from the North
The simplest route is to leave the M11 at junction 11. Continue towards Cambridge (passing a major junction signposted the Shelfords) and then turn right at the right filter of the traffic lights after a total of approximately 1.5 miles, on to Long Road. After approximately 1.2 miles, pass through the traffic lights at the major intersection (which has the Addenbrookes roundabout approximately 100 meters to the right), continuing until the roundabout, which is effectively on Perne Road (although it changes its name once or twice). At this roundabout turn left, and continue over two more roundabouts, before reaching the Scout Headquarters (on theleft), approximately 80 meters short of the traffic lights at the junction with Mill Road.

An alternative route is to take the A14 eastbound, ignoring the first two exits (to Histon and to Milton), and taking the third exit, turning right at the top of the ramp. Continue for approximately 2 miles through Fen Ditton, eventually reaching traffic lights at the T-junction (with Newmarket Road). Proceed towards Cambridge (on the A1303) for approximately 100 metres, turning left at the roundabout on to the A1134). This road then leads directly to the Sainsbury's roundabout, after approximately three-quarters of a mile. Cross the roundabout, and then go through the traffic lights at the junction with Mill Road. The Scout Headquarters is approximately 80 meters beyond the traffic lights, on the right. The building is end-on to the road, with a small parking lot between the building and a low wall.
